LETS CHAT! I WANT YOU TO SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOUR SOUL IS!
Hello and welcome to The Rose Meadow! I'm Charlene Rose, and I'm thrilled to have you in our cozy corner of the web.
If you're new here, allow me to share a bit about the origins of The Rose Meadow. It all started as a whimsical idea during a homeschool co-op meme session where we playfully crafted our co-op's name using our last names and street names. While others resulted in amusing combinations, ours, "Rose Meadow," felt like poetry and rolled off the tongue effortlessly.
Initially, The Rose Meadow was simply the name of our homeschool—The Rose Meadow Academy. However, its significance expanded when my family relocated to South Dakota. Leaving behind my first photography venture, Charlene Rose Photography, and a partnership in Studio 37, I pondered whether to carry those names forward. They held cherished memories, but I was ready for a fresh perspective, viewed only through rose-colored glasses.
The inspiration struck when someone remarked on the beauty of our homeschool name in conversation. That comment lingered in my mind, and Psalm 23, my favorite part of the Bible, played a pivotal role. While the King James version was ingrained in my upbringing, The Message version resonated with its contemporary expression.
In particular, the lines: "God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from."
This description of a lush meadow captured the essence of what I envisioned for The Rose Meadow. It became more than a school or a personal venture; it became a serene space where people could find peace and tranquility in all they do.
So, welcome to The Rose Meadow, where we're more than just a school or a photography endeavor—we're a haven, a place to catch your breath, find direction, and experience the beauty and love that chase after you every day.
Stay awhile, explore, and make yourself at home in the house of The Rose Meadow.
